Services
I’ve always been a relentless builder of stuff / hobby collector. 37chairs is where I experiment with things that I think should exist. Along my adventures, I’ve learned that there’s a part of my brain that needs to be tickled regularly with silly projects or I’ll burn out, and this is where that happens.
37chairs, LLC is my Nebraska-based LLC, where I do more serious work and where I put things that may generate revenue.
What am I selling?
To be completely honest, I’m not selling anything right now, nor am I looking for a job, clients, or new projects to work on. This site is more about sharing what I’ve built and learned over the years, not pitching services. That said, if something interesting comes along, I’m always open to a good conversation.
What I do, what I’ve done
I’ve spent the last two decades as a full-stack developer, diving into everything from back-end systems to front-end interfaces and all the messy bits in between. It’s been a wild ride—building web apps, mobile experiences, and even some retro-inspired tools that push the boundaries of what’s possible.
-
Full-Stack Development (20+ years): Back-end, front-end, and everything in between.
- Technologies like React, React Native, Rails, and a ton of other tools. I’ve built everything from e-commerce platforms to custom dashboards, always focusing on clean, efficient code that actually works.
-
Payment Processing: One of my specialties—integrating with major processors for EMV, e-commerce, and more.
- I’ve handled PCI Level 1 audits and certifications multiple times. It’s the kind of work that requires precision and attention to detail, and I’ve enjoyed the challenge.
-
Team Leadership: I’ve managed teams of developers, product folks, and designers at different stages of company growth. My approach draws from Mark Horstman’s writings, emphasizing trust, clear communication, and letting people do their best work.
There’s more in my LinkedIn, but this gives you a sense of the journey.
