Lifecron

Completing tasks in Lifecron One of my many failure modes is that I forget or don’t see some of the routine things that just need to be done. If I make a list, I’ll crush it, but a lot of the normal routine stuff just gets pushed to the background by default. A couple months ago, I started using a spiral top notebook and 3d printed a stencil, made myself a cheat sheet / schedule, and actually started using it reliably. Eventually, I realized that what I really needed was a cron job scheduler for all the things in life. My second failure mode is that I need something to say “good job” even if that means it’s just a box that gets checked.

Uses

Completing tasks in Lifecron It’s not for work stuff and it isn’t a calendar. Add household / personal tasks to Lifecron with a general schedule, and it’ll pop them into your daily todo list automatically. Add anniversaries, birthdays, and other things that we’d otherwise forget, and it’ll tell you about those a couple of weeks in advance. There are info reminders and actionable tasks, and you can assign difficulty and priority to items if it helps you decide how to handle it.

Should you use it

If you have a system you like, don’t use Lifecron. But if you’re like me and you need something to just tell you what to do, then it might be for you. You can find it in the iOS app store, and it has a little website too.
